3 Purpose of and legal basis for data processing

We collect personal data only where you choose to disclose them yourself, such as when you complete our contact form. We use these data for no other purpose than the one for which you have disclosed them. They will be used for other purposes only after you have been expressly informed of this and given your consent, in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. In certain cases, personal data are processed because of a legitimate interest under Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR (see Item 4 below).

4 Processing because of a legitimate interest under Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR

The processing of personal data based on Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR is carried out in the cases listed below.

4.1 Collection of personal data during visits to our website

When our website is used solely for information purposes, we collect only those personal data that are sent to our server by your browser. When you view our website, we collect the data listed here, which are technically required to display our website and to ensure stability and security:

Salesforce uses cookies for this purpose. The following personal data is processed: Service user actions, browser type, device identifier, device information, files viewed, location information, internet service provider, IP address, mobile application information, operating system information, system configuration information, usage data, user agent, date and time of request, pages viewed, search queries. This only happens if you have expressly given your consent in accordance with Art. 6 s. 1 a GDPR. You can, of course, withdraw your consent at any time. Data processing generally takes place within the European Union. In individual cases, the service we use may pass on the collected data to Salesforce Inc. in the USA and to other contractual partners of Salesforce. In this case, there is a risk that your data may be processed by US authorities for control and monitoring purposes, without you possibly having any legal remedies. Retention period is the length of time that the collected data is stored for processing. The data is erased as soon as it is no longer needed for the processing purposes. The maximum retention period for cookies is 1 year.

Google Tag Manager

Please note that we use Google Tag Manager by Google Ireland Limited (Register-No: 368047), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Tag Manager itself does not collect any personal data. Google Tag Manager facilitates the embedding and administration of tags on our websites. Tags are small code elements which enable us to measure website traffic and user behaviour andto record the impact of our advertising activities and social networks, to test and optimise our websites for our interest groups. YouTube (extended privacy mode)

We use services from YouTube, LLC 901 Cherry Ave, 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, a Google Inc. company, Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, on our website. Here, we use the option of extended data protection provided by YouTube to protect your personal data. When you call up a page in which a YouTube video is embedded, a connection is established to the YouTube servers and the content is displayed on the website by informing your browser. According to YouTube’s information, however, data is only transmitted to the YouTube server in “extended data protection mode” when you actively start the video. If you are logged in to YouTube at this time, the information about the videos you have viewed will be assigned to your member account with YouTube. You can prevent this by logging out of your member account before visiting our website. Insofar as data is processed outside the European Economic Area / the EU, where there is no level of data protection equivalent to the European standard, Google states that it uses standard contractual clauses.

Under Article 21 (1) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you based on Article 6 (1) (e) GDPR (Data processing that is in the public interest) or Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Data processing for the purposes of a legitimate interest), including profiling based on those provisions. When you object, we will no longer process your personal data, except where we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or where the processing serves for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

9.3 Rights in respect of direct marketing

Where we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes, you have the right under Article 21 (2) GDPR to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing, which includes profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing.

In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data by us.
